Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need to sign a waiver?
Canyoning involves inherent risks, like all outdoor adventure sports. The waiver confirms that you understand and accept these risks, and it supports our legal, safety, and trip preparation requirements.

Who needs to sign the waiver?
Everyone participating must complete and sign our Waiver and Release Agreement—no exceptions. This includes minors (with a parent or guardian's signature) and anyone you’ve booked on behalf of.
When and how do I sign?
The booking contact signs the waiver during the online booking process.
After booking, other participants receive a link to complete their waiver and participant info form.
All forms must be submitted before the activity date.
Do I also sign in person?
Yes. On the day of your trip, each participant must sign a paper waiver, witnessed and countersigned by a WCCA staff member.
What if I don’t sign in time?
Unfortunately, no waiver means no trip. Bookings aren't confirmed until all forms are submitted. Please ensure everyone in your group completes their forms to avoid last-minute issues.
Can I read the waiver before booking?
Absolutely—we encourage it.
Download the Waiver and Release Agreement (PDF, 182KB) and contact us with any questions.
Is canyoning safe?
Canyoning is adventurous by nature, but your safety is our top priority. We manage risk through:
Certified guides and daily condition assessments
High-quality gear and route planning
Pre-trip safety briefings and mandatory gear use
While no adventure is risk-free, well-managed risk is what makes canyoning exciting, rewarding, and safe.
